Sony old photo printer dye sublimation

I got this printer at extreme cheap rate from OLD stock store. The printer
was in bad shape . Its paper loading tray was missing.
The printer however, could connect to the computer and prints were being sent from PC

to this machine.
I found that button/sensor that lets printer know that tray is attached.

So i opened the printer, and taped the button. Its first 2 points.
letting the 3rd point released.

So it used two books as guiders of my photo paper into the printer.

I tried printing with a smaller paper which would fall off the back side, due to its length issue.
Sony uses 18.5cmm length.

So i attached pieces of paper on KODAK paper..

with pieces of paper tape.

The paper ran out fine through the printer 

The ribbon/cartridge of dye sublimation printer may be REWOUND

I used a gear from old cassette player.

Gear was attached to motor

USB cable used to power the motor

I was able to rewind the cartridge/ribbon, but not that good as motors power was not enough.
Will give more volts to motor and see if it works better.

Misri Shah - scrap market in lahore

Misri Shah is a big steel,iron,and other metal scrap market in lahore. In my visit there i saw metallic scrap in all forms, from bars,strips,to big gears weighing atleast 30 kg. There is a small scrap market of power switches, and few shops with medical instruments,and a very few with scrap of computer related items.
Roads, as of early 2018, were underconstruction. Overall condition of traffic is not good, since there are narrow streets. But it is a good place for someone looking for rare metallic parts of machinery.

I know of a country in the world, where practically everything,every expertise, every beautiful place,and the most beautiful people exist. And that country is Pakistan. And, i know of a city in this beautiful country of lovely people, which is a centre of culture, heritage,innovations, technology, education, food, parks,  fashion and clothing , and that city is,  Lahore.

So, misri shah,  shah almi market, urdu bazar, suha bazar, anarkali market and its food street, hall road elertronics market, mall road, nisbat road camera market, bedin road electrical market,  gowal mandi, and soo onn are such places which equip you with anything and everything!
