the resting position of knob to closer terminal is the one with lower resistance.
when repairing a dvd player, with issue identified as being adjustment of Pots/trimmers, take photograph of positions before making any adjustments.
a white scratchless dvd is the easiest to caliberate, then scratched white dvd, and the finest caliberation lastly with blue dvd.
